Good Stories, Well Told
University Communications tells UW–Madison’s remarkable story to the campus community and beyond. In print, pixel and post, we capture, curate and share how the university fulfills its core missions. We’re writers, editors, producers and strategists, all working to amplify the positive impact this university has on the state, the nation and the world.

Office of University Relations
University Communications is housed under the Office of University Relations, whose three areas of focus offer a variety of services and programs for the university community, news media, alumni, parents, community and government leaders, and the general public. These units, University Communications, University Marketing, and Government Affairs and Strategic Partnerships — which includes Federal Relations, State Relations, Community Relations, Tribal Relations and the Office of Business Engagement — work collaboratively and creatively on projects designed to increase awareness of the university among a variety of constituents. The Office of University Relations also fosters partnerships with three key affiliate organizations, the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and UW Health, as well as our many UW–Madison schools and colleges.
