About University Communications
University Communications produces a variety of print and online publications to tell the university’s story to the campus community and beyond. Our staff develops written and visual communication — simply put, words and pictures — to capture how UW–Madison is fulfilling its core missions each day. We collect, edit and distribute information about campus to external and internal audiences via news releases, print publications, photos, video, Web posts, email, social media and other channels.
University Communications responds to news media inquiries and connects reporters with the university sources who can best address their questions. We also coordinate internal communications geared toward the interests of students, faculty and staff. Our goal is to provide timely, accurate and responsive information about a wide range of topics to ensure that our audiences have answers to the myriad questions that arise regularly on this vast campus.

He also served as the voice of @UWMadison on the university’s nationally recognized Twitter account. Prior to moving to Wisconsin, he worked in daily newspapers, including the Commercial Appeal in Memphis, Tenn.
