Communications policies
Campus units are encouraged to refer to this collection of policies when preparing information for publications. Some reflect state or federal regulations, such as language about equal opportunity and accessibility. Some are official university policies related to matters such as trademarks, licensing and sponsorship. Others, such as those regarding UW–Madison's logo or photography, are usage guidelines developed by University Communications. This section also includes frequently requested information, such as the university’s mission statement, overview text about the university, and the approval process for awnings and banners.
